The Kitty Jay Project (2004) – based loosely on The Blair Witch Project – was a young people’s film investigating the myth of Kitty Jay, directed by Daniel Rayner, as part of MED Theatre’s ‘Myth’ project. It was made in collaboration with Coombeshead College and supported by a grant from Arts Council England as part of MED Theatre’s ‘Dartmoor Rising’. The film includes an interview with painter and writer Jane Beeson, filmed in the kitchen of Ford Farm, where Kitty Jay is said to have worked as a dairy maid.
